Marine Science Research Authority denounces US false allegations on marine environment

[25/February/2024]

HODEIDA February 25. 2024 (Saba) – The General Authority for Marine Science Research denounced the fabrications of the US enemy regarding “the catastrophe of the marine environment and the threat to the fish industry, coastal communities and food supply imports.”

The Authority confirmed in a statement received by Saba a copy of it, that the resulting environmental damage is a deliberate American, British-Zionist industry as a result of throwing ships in the Red Sea and the Arab Sea to destroy their environment and protect Israeli ships or heading to the ports of occupied Palestine, holding them fully responsible for that.

The statement of the US Central Command considered a malicious intention that seeks to justify its shameful and malicious act of an environmental disaster under a false rumor promoted by the American enemy, and an exploitation of the military position in destroying the environment of the Red and Arab Seas and may work to throw dangerous waste that destroys the environment and aquatic life in general.

The Authority warned of the continued deterioration of the Yemeni marine environment in light of the continued aggression on Gaza, pointing out that any US-British-Zionist endeavor to pollute the marine environment may cause serious damage to aquatic life and destruction of the entire marine environment, and will not only affect the Yemeni coasts and seas, but all countries bordering the Red Sea.

The statement called on the countries bordering the Red Sea to be vigilant and monitor the American, British and Zionist movements, and to assume their responsibility to protect marine environments and life in their marine and territorial waters.
